The city state of Monaco is the kingdom of luxury, richness and greatness. It is the zone free of taxes and the concentration point for multiple places of interest. F1 Monaco History

It is the slowest competition among all. The difference between the best and the worst lap is very small, and pilots need to take risks. F1 Monaco track gives no opportunities to surpass opponents, so the race result depends a lot on the driver’s qualification and the first bend. 

Why is F1 Monaco Special?

A unique track demands a special approach from racing teams. They adjust suspension and aerodynamics to get the best tracking force and road grip. Bumpy straight sectors and tight turns need special chassis calibrations. 

The decisive factors are the aerodynamic effectiveness, soft wheels, stable rear wheel locks and the choice of correct strategy. 

Additionally, the pilot needs to be confident about the bolide and to take the optimal lap passing tempo. Team managers try to give pilots as many time as possible to spend on the track during free runs, and a training accident can influence the entire weekend much. The clean lap at F1 Monaco is a real challenge for pilots. It is very difficult to avoid mistakes and to get the best time on all three qualification sectors on one lap. 

The state of the track on Thursday morning is usually far from being the best, and the situation gets better till the evening. Though, Formula 1 pilots don’t work on the track on Friday. Organizers open it for fans then, just like on every other evening. Multiple parties influence the asphalt negatively as well, so the track is never perfect on Saturday evenings, too.

The best pilots from all over the world find it very important to win the F1 Monaco stage more than any other race. To be the first here, you need not your engine power. It is the slowest and least comfortable track of the entire World Championship competition. To win F1 Monaco, a pilot needs to have excellent accuracy when passing bends. One wrong move, the only mistake will kick you off the distance.
